I’m very proud to announce that I have created a new pad shape and I have just put it to the test on my heavy bloody day….. It’s a 2-3 piece pattern, not my favorite to make but my current favorite to look at cause it’s quite cute. It reminds me of a little angle 🙂 now these are only 10″. I have actually made couple of 8″ liners with the same design a while back but let’s just now show those pics cause I tried to do fake serge look and I didn’t like it. Anyhow, here are how they look and I’m going to make some overnight ones to try… Hopefully for my next period. I’m also going to start offering this pad for purchase…. Very soon.
Long story short, I have put together a starter set (5piece set) as shown in the pic. It is a good start for new cloth user and although it is cheaper to get a set, it will be all of the same print. I am pretty much buying fat quarters doe this. I will be offering my usual assymetrical pattern wih curved ends as well. In the pic there is 1 13″ overnight, 2 10″ moderates, 2 light/liners. What do you all think? If you are interested, look for Rumpbox closed group on Facebook and check out the fabric prints available for starter set.
Because all of the walking dead and cloth pad fans has to own one… Or more than one, I have been making pads with the walking dead prints. I have two pads added to etsy. I made more than two but two has been sold and I am keeping one for myself. I can always make more but for now two has been listed on etsy

These are done! 1 of each print! Total of 4 prints to choose from or get one of each! They are so cute!!
Not only are they pretty. All are top with pretty cotton, back with super dupa soft microfleece and the core is 2 layers of diaper flannel and one layer of organic heavy bamboo fleece. Hidden PUL extended all the way to the wings. Good for regular to heavy days depending on your flow. These are available on Rumpbox at Etsy https://www.etsy.com/listing/263747047/valentine-themed-menstrual-pad-10?ref=shop_home_active_1

This is what I have been working on. 4 different Valentine prints. It’s been a busy week with work and weekend with family and friends and it was not easy to squeeze in some sewing time but I did some sewing and proud to show you guys some progress pics. I do plan to adjust the pattern a little bit for new ones I will be making since these ones are extra flare and visually they look kind of wide. However I made a patchwork pad with the same pattern and used it myself and it felt fine and great with the flare coverage. What do you think of the pattern and the prints??
Obviously they still need to be worked on. The turning flap needs to be closed and top stitched plus snaps. I am quite happy with how they all turned out especially with the wavy decoration stitch used for attaching the core. Well off to bed and will continue tomorrow…
Whenever I get my head into making pads, always make several at a time. With an assembly line, one night for pattern drawing and fabric cutting, one night for core sewing, one night for attaching core, and one night for stitch- turn- top stitch and snaps. This is the life of a working mom with a full time job and many hobbies which sewing is one…. Here are 7 cores I just finished sewing, cutting and then zigzagging the edges to keep it thin and flat. I cannot wait to finish this project but it’s really late. To be continued tomorrow….
